Wyze has probably already lost several customers because of the app and its refusal to fix it.

One thing that irritates me about the lack of landscape mode is if I am in another app in landscape mode, say Hubitat, and I am looking at one of the cameras and see an outside light is still on. I flip to the Hubitat app, turn the light off, and flip back to the Wyze app. If I don’t rotate the screen back to portrait mode before I switch back to the Wyze app, miraculously the screen is in landscape mode!
Now the problem gets worse. Rotating the screen back to portrait mode does not rotate the image. Have to go to a camera and then the Wyze app will go to portrait mode.

There are MANY things that irritate me about the half-baked implementation of the Landscape features tossed into the app at the last minute. It makes WYZE look like a company run by someone that has no desire to listen to it’s customers.
SOMEONE FROM WZYE OTHER THAN THE FORUM MODERATORS WHO ARE NOT WYZE EMPLOYEES, PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM IN ERROR WITH THAT STATEMENT.
948 DAYS and counting, and this WISHLIST ITEM is still in a status of ‘RESEARCHING’ ?
2.6 YEARS?… of RESEARCHING?… Shall I interpreted that as: THAT’S GOING TO BE ONE ROCK SOLID PRODUCT, AS IT’S BEEN GIVEN 2.6 YEARS OF RESEARCH?
Or, can I interpreted 2.6 years of RESEARCH as: we haven’t even had a meeting to really discuss this MAJOR annoyance that our substandard Wyze APP exhibits in LANDSCAPE NODE?
COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR CUSTOMER WOULD BE A WONDERFUL THING HERE. IF IT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, THEN TELL US!!!,
WE’RE ALL ADULTS HERE… IF IT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, GREAT, I’LL MOVE ON TO ANOTHER PRODUCT.

I WILL NOT REWARD BAD BEHAVIOR BY WYZE BY PURCHASING THE WYZE SPRINKLER CONTROL SYSTEM, OR THE WYZE ROBOT VACUUM THAT ARE ON MY ‘WISHLIST’ UNTIL MY IPAD HAS AN APP THAT KNOWS WHAT LANDSCAPE MODE TRULY IS.
IS WYZE INC. EVEN READING OUR COMMENTS? I’LL ASSUME THEY ARE NOT.
IF THEY WERE READING THE FORUMS, AND SEEING THE NEGATIVITY THAT IS FESTERING FOR THIS 2.6 YEAR OLD NEGLECTED ISSUE, PERHAPS THEY MIGHT WANT TO DROP IN HERE AND LET US PALTRY LITTLE CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT THE LATEST IS ON THIS ISSUE?

Just saw an add for a Wyze vacuum and thought I will check on the landscape issue…guess I will skip buying the vacuum. I have discontinued subscription for camera and now I am starting to look elsewhere for my needs. Sad that Wyze decided to completely ignore us. Note even an update from them in years!

Really, we can’t get the Wyze App fixed to be a real landscape aware iOS or Android Tablet app, and Wyze is spending time and resources on a TOOTHBRUSH?
The INSANITY of it all!
I’m all for new products, I think that’s great, I might even consider a Wyze Toothbrush when my Sonicare toothbrush needs to be replaced.
But, WYZE needs to aware that there are many of us that will have ZERO LOYALTY to the WYZE brand until the fix the GLARING ISSUES with the wyze app in landscape mode.
I’ve already put the Robot Vacuum and Sprinkler Control systems on indefinite hold, and that boycott of further products extends to any further WYZE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES.

I finally set up my Eufy 2k camera ($40). Unlike Wyze, the Eufy app has landscape mode on both Android and iOS…

I sent a message via the help desk and received a reply from Jeffrey saying that “… it is still in the works…” So officially we have nothing to worry about. I will continue to look for other products and services because I’m not feeling reassured.

Nope, up and running with only the camera and wifi connection. The 2K camera isn’t wireless though.

“Wireless” means connects via Wi-Fi. Maybe you mean “cordless” as in, “battery-powered”

I am not buying anything else from them until landscape arrives. I will continue to consider Arlo & Eufy cameras as when my current devices die. I have 4 arlo cams and only bought 1 Wyze last yr as part of their bundle.
