So disappointed in my cameras. I got excited with the first one thinking it worked well and I have eight cameras and the ones that are supposed to record all the time to the SD card work maybe 1/4 of the time. Ordered two outdoor cameras have not even taken them out of the box I am so disappointed right now with Wyze. It seems like it was cheap because it’s a toy!

Feel your frustrations, I went to update my cams the other day and while my v2’s updated my pan cam completely quit working, the light comes on turns yellow and remains that way, won’t do anything else. The huge issue that pushed me over the edge was my sensors going offline and I couldn’t get them back up and working. I was going to just purchase another pan cam but when my contact sensor went offline, and this is like 3rd time I’ve found it offline for no reason, this time I wasn’t able to fix it, just will not pair, I went to switch it with the spare one I hadn’t used yet and the battery was dead in that one, I just said forget it and put them in their box and threw them in the closet. I can take or leave the cameras but I really liked the sensors and door lock, i planned to include them in my smart home stuff long term but I’m now questioning this, the sensors anyways. My fingers are crossed my door lock don’t start randomly failing, I won’t troubleshoot my deadbolt for months like I have my cams and sensors.
I have 2 pans, 6 v2s, 4 wireless lights and three sensor kits and all are working fine. Sure once in awhile I lose connectivity when the power goes out but I’m a happy Wyze user. Oh, I have a band and scale too, no issues.

I had a single issue with my camera and was provided a phone number to a human via email after several emails back and forth. I am not really understanding how I was provided a phone number (pre COVID-19) while owning only I one camera and several sensors, and 60+ others have not!? Fishy? Yes! If you all are complaining about this during COVID-19 you’ve got the problem, not the company you are dealing with. Try working with IKEA right now and you will NEVER shop there again. Just sayin.
If you want reliable security cameras, no doubt wired system is the way to go. Wireless cameras have came alone way to make it affordable and acceptable. Even your cell phone needs updates to optimize the functionality.
Covid 19 is no excuse for poor customer service. I’m getting sick and tired of people using the pandemic for an excuse. Literally thousands of other companies both larger and smaller than Wyze Cam are doing just fine with Home Office operations for their support.
@CaptainDestroy Lol! I live in Chattanooga and have 1GB up and down. Wyze has been a major disappointment. Arlo has been consistent and available for 3 years. I was hoping the new kid in town would be just as good or better for a lower price. Just not meant to be.
I am in Chattanooga as well. Same gig services and my 5 cams don’t do well. Lots of issues and updates make things worse. I even replaced 2 cams thinking maybe being outside did something to them. No luck
Tell that to IKEA! At least with wyze I got a human person in the phone. IKEA didn’t answer the phone for 2 months and it took 4 months to receive a shipment. FROM IKEA!!! You do realize this was a “garage" (don’t know what to call an office-less business) company just 2 or so years ago, right? This IS the small business in our country who’s losing because of people’s expectations of ADT level hard wired equipment for wireless at basement prices. You travel out of the country all the time. If you can afford it why be cheap?? I on the other hand I am living 400% below poverty and these cameras are a luxury for people like myself.

IDK if that’s a jab at my situation, but it’s hilarious considering when people who CAN do better, settle for what the lowly poor people like myself are able to acquire. Going from the top and all the trappings to the bottom escaping my prison has shown me humans true colors! I am richer now than I ever was with money. I just find it ridiculous when people who have the resources are whiners about their cheapness and the outcome from such cheapness. BTW, to be perfectly clear these Wyze devices have worked great for me despite my Comcast welfare internet. It works just fine with my camera and sensors along with three computers, two phones, an iPad, printer, wiiU, and CPAP machine.
