Hey folks!
iOS app 2.27.37 is releasing with a fix for a minor issue with in-app payments. We’re also updating Wyze Cam Outdoor’s Base Station firmware to 4.16.2.66 today for two rounds of security improvements.
Note: Today’s Wyze Cam Outdoor Base Station update is released as a set of two updates (4.16.2.45 → 4.16.2.66), so please keep in mind you will need to update twice.
Mod Edit: We’re sorry, folks. Base Station version 4.16.2.66 is paused while we investigate reports of Base Stations not working after the update. If this has happened to you, please reach out to us through https://support.wyze.com . Again, we are very sorry if this has happened to you. I will follow up when I have any further information.

Thanks but no thanks on the base station firmware. I just got my 4 cameras to record normally again by changing the cam firmware back to the November 2021 version. I and others sent numerous log, video files and exchanged numerous emails with support without a fix. Standard answer, wait for a new cam firmware. If the new base firmware is not required I’ll “wait and see” until a good cam firmware is release.

That firmware update completely bricked 2 of my cameras.
I took the updates when they were available, installed the base station update first, then the camera update, and had zero issues.
