I have been using iOS 18 since it has came out. I had a problem with 2 apps on my phone when I first installed iOS18. Wyze and Unifi. Unifi was fixed a couple weeks after, Wyze is still an issue. I originally posted this June 11th. We are likely 7-8 weeks from apple releasing this. So to me Wyze should have at least implemented the fix into the Beta wyze app so it can be verified and tested as well. Other than that iOS18 works really well.

This is the only app on my phone out of 304 apps that I have installed on my phone that has had compatibility issues on the iOS 18 beta. This really should be fixed asap.

iOS 18 is working with many apps. However most every app with video or animation overlays has issues. Storm, Radar Omega, Carringron and RadarScope arenât flowing image loops / freezing in certain settings. Alldata - wiring diagram flowcharts where video overlays donât work. Theodite where polygons are marked with an image doesnât show the image. Insta360 wonât do overlays of video stills in video jump cuts.
BTW, this image overlay issue is fixed in Dev beta 4. It wasnât ( as I suspected ) a Wyze issues. pitchfork whiners happy now?
GOOD NEWS.
Just updated to Beta 4 (released today) and so far events are playing back as expected. Fingers crossed itâs not a fluke and it stays fixed, but previously 100% of events would freeze and not play for me.

I have seen a few other users say this also. This is why we do not always fix things off a beta. If we had fixed our app, it would have broken again when Apple fixed its end.

Update - iOS 18.4 fixed it.

There is a small fix ( issued late Saturday night 8/27 ) for Beta 4 which corrects some onboard sensor issues and addresses specific frame rate video overlays. Itâs a 233mb update to version K from J. It helped my insta360 video in video issue and screen brightness consistancy across all apps.
