I’d like the next version to have a drive-in deadbolt option in addition to the current rectangular faceplate end to the deadbolt, which requires a recessed setback on the thin edge of the door.
The Schlage smartlock I hope to replace came with conversion options, and all works well with the standard-setback boreholes I was able to add to the steel door. Steel doors can’t be chiseled, and the precision-cutting that would be needed as an alternative is impractical to the point of being prohibitive.
I’m creating a separate post to ask if anyone knows a workaround, but this should really be fixed for Gen 2.
