I purchased a wyze home monitoring system, with four-door sensors, two keypads, a Sense hub and a wyze cam floodlight version 2. So far I have set up the sense hub, one of the keypads and the four door sensors.
What I am trying to do is get notified via audible alarm through the sense hub when my doors open. I have a toddler and I don’t want him getting outside without me being aware.
I can’t arm the system or get any audible alerts From the sense hub. What am I doing wrong?
For clarification, I do not have a subscription. I was under the impression this system would work without a subscription.
You cannot “Arm/Disarm” the system without a subscription. The keypads won’t do anything. You can’t access the “Tone” settings for the door sensors. You CAN use the sensors for automations and get push notifications sent to your phone, but not much else.
I believe Wyze blocked access to sensors and cameras in HA because it was overloading the Wyze servers. Bulbs, switches, etc. will work with an add-on to HA.
