I’ve tried 2 cameras with the same result. Plug the camera in, wait for it to boot up, press setup button, it says ready and I put in my password for the wifi. The qr code displays but the camera never pics up on the code. I’m holding it still, between 4 and 6 inches from the lens. It just keeps repeating ready to connect .. I got another camera out and tried it with the same result . Any one else having this issue ?
This typically happens when you have zoom/scaling enabled on your phone. Temporarily disable that.

I had this happen very recently after factory resetting a Cam Pan v3 while doing some troubleshooting. No phone distance or angle from the camera seemed to get the camera to recognize the code on the phone’s screen. If I recall correctly, I ended up power cycling the camera (unplugging it and plugging it back in) and rebooting my phone in order to start the device adding process again and get the camera to read the code.
What troubleshooting steps have you attempted so far?
This happened to me when I accidentally pressed the setup button while switching SD cards. It wouldn’t read the QR code.
It was the glare. I had to remove the camera and bring it indoors so the code could be read.
