How to edit out SANTA

My precocious granddaughter has figured out how to view past events; so we need to edit a bit of “Santa” activity out - we move the Elf on a shelf around - but I have events off on the V2 camera, and you can still scroll back and view footage.
Is there a way to selectively delete a few minutes here and there? All I can figure is that I’ll have to format the SD card. There’s nothing on there of any value, so that’s not a problem, but if it is possible to edit, I would prefer to do that. I do not have cam unlimited; is that function available in Unlimited?
Thanks for any help, Happy Holidays!

I am not aware of a way to selectively delete events.

How about repositioning the camera so Santa’s activity isn’t monitored?

If you are talking about editing the microSD timeline for continuous recording, then the only way to do it is to remove the microSD from the V2 camera and insert it into a computer / phone to delete the specific footage.

The files are saved in a folder based on a specific date. Within that folder, there are more folders which are named 00 to 23 (representing 12am to 11pm). Inside those folders will have a mp4 file which represent each minute (1.mp4 to 59.mp4).

For example, you want to modify Dec 12 at 10:25pm. Within the microSD, you’ll need to go to record > 20241212 > 22 > 25.mp4. You can delete the footage or replace the into something else. If the clip is deleted, then you’ll get “No video at the selected time” when you try to see the timeline again with the Wyze app and there will be a gap. Alternatively, you can delete the entire day footage by deleting 20241212 folder.

Or just turn it off or unplug it for a bit.

Thanks for the responses; since Santa was already on the SD, and there was no need to save the other data, I reformatted the SD and explained to “Santa” how to switch cam off while moving the elves! I also appreciate the explanation of the folders and how they work.
Thank You, Happy Holidays!

When I was a very young boy, my father and I would drive around Christmas Eve looking for Santa. Never did see him, but when we got home, there were presents under the tree. My mom and two sisters would be in the basement doing laundry, and thought they might have heard something upstairs while my father and I were gone.

When my daughter was a toddler and getting ready to start Pre-School my wife sat her down to tell her about the grown-up version of Santa. We did not want our daughter to hear about Santa from other kids at school that can sometimes be mean. Tore my heart out to see my daughter get teary eyed hearing about Santa.

Shout out to you for going the extra mile preserving the magic of Santa for your granddaughter as long as possible. Happy holidays!
