Re: Editing existing stored video for v2, v3 and v4
I have video stored in the Gallery of my Galaxy and I’d like to alter/enhance the colour quality of the existing videos. In particular, I’m trying to somehow enhance predominantly white (snow). There is not much contrast at this time. Any suggestions? Thanks
I think what you’re asking about is going to involve tools independent of Wyze. For instance, in the Google Photos app on my pixel phone, there are some enhancement features available when I select a video for playback and then tap Edit. Maybe your Gallery app offers something like that? (I haven’t used a Samsung phone in years.) Otherwise, you might want to poke around in Google Play Store for a third-party app or transfer your videos to a PC, where you’re likely to have a wider array of editing tools.
Also I noticed that your topic is tagged cam-outdoor, but you seem to be referring to cam-v2, cam-v3, and cam-v4 in your post. I wonder if correcting your tags and perhaps adding video would help your topic get the visibility you might be seeking.
Thank you Crease. I was hoping there was something I was missing on my phone that would facilitate the editing I’m looking for. And if not, perhaps someone with a Samsung might be able to offer an app that has worked well for them.
Also, thanks for the tagging suggestion. Every time I chose on of the v2 through v4 options, my secondary options were limited, hence why I opted for the cam-outdoor tag.
You’re welcome, and the tagging system here can sometimes be frustrating. It took me a while to get used to it.
One Samsung evangelist who comes to mind is @ssummerlin, but I don’t know if he does any video editing directly on his phone. Forum regular @ronl4625 is also a Samsung user, so I’m tagging those two in case they have any tips.
I suspect your easiest route may be a third-party app in this case, depending on what your specific goals are, but maybe other Samsung users can provide some insight, like you said.
Thank you again!
Hopefully one of your tags will respond or perhaps another viewer might have a suggestion. Even better if their suggestion is a free app!
BTW, I laughed at your ‘Samsung evangelist’ comment!
Thanks again.
Thank you for the detailed response.
I am using Android version 14. Just wrote a response and thought I’d fiddle with the phone one last time and I ‘think’ I might have figured something out. Going to try a few things now but if that doesn’t work, I will definitely look into your recommendations. Thanks again!
Think it has already been covered here but your phone typically can do basic editing.
For more advanced stuff I use one called Inshot. Has a cool feature where you can blur a face or license plate and it automatically follows as it moves, plus lots of other stuff. You have to watch an ad before compiling the final movie if you don’t want their watermark on it, but no biggie. Obviously you can pay to remove ads too.
Not saying it is the best one out there, it is really the only one I’ve tried on my phone, but when I had a need to share a video but blur things out, it was the first thing I found when searching and has worked well the few times I’ve used it.
