How do I turn off the Sound Detector?

I cannot disable the Sound Detector feature on my camera/floodlight. It goes off every couple of minutes. The app is not helping.

@mrjohnmtaylor I do not own the specific camera model that you are asking about. However, I think it may be the same as a v2, v3, or v4.

Turn off event recording related to sound (I think this is the one you’re looking for):

  1. Live stream the cam
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner to go into the settings for that cam
  3. Select Event Recording
  4. In the “RECORD EVENTS TRIGGERED BY” section, use the slider next to Sound

Notifications for sound related events (only available if the Sound event recording above is enabled/on):

  1. Live stream the cam
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner to go into the settings for that cam
  3. Click Notifications - If off no need to continue
  4. Click Manage next to Events
  5. Scroll down to the SOUND section
  6. Uncheck any applicable options for TAG / NOTIFY (dependent upon cam version & subscription options)

How to turn off recording audio/sound all together:

  1. Live stream the cam
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner to go into the settings for that cam
  3. Click Advanced Settings
  4. Find the ‘Record Sound’ setting and use the slider to turn it on or off

If this addresses your question, please mark it as the solution.

Well it was worth a shot. I’ll bow out from here and let someone else that actually owns a floodlight v2 camera chime in. Sorry, I wish I could be of more assistance and hope someone else can offer a solution.

If you do not feel like waiting for that to happen, you could always give WYZE support a call:

I would hope that they could resolve this matter in short order.
Best of luck!

I went back and went through it again and this time it was successful..!! Thanks a million.
