I’ll be honest, I didn’t look into this before ordering and installing the doorbell. I’ve been using Wyze products for years now, and just assumed (I know, I know) that the camera functionality in the doorbell would include the same basic features as the other cameras - namely being able to view the camera from Alexa and being able to group the doorbell cameras into a group with my other outdoor cameras for easy monitoring of all exterior cameras.
I gotta say, for a while Wyze was coming out with some great products and interesting features, but it seems like maybe they’ve lost their mojo. There are some simple features lacking that really make it hard for me to recommend Wyze like I did in the past. I can ask Alexa to show me any of my cameras from my desk while I’m working - except for the front door. For that I need to pick up my phone and go through the app. From the app, I can monitor all of my outdoor cameras at once (and even cast it to the TV), except for at the doorbells. I shouldn’t have to double up my cameras just to get decent monitoring and situational awareness. The lack of these features are mind-boggling as I would have expected them to be table stakes for the initial product release. I get that there are features that have to get chopped to get the product released, but these seem like low hanging fruit.
