What is the “Hardware Decoder” button in the camera app for? I don’t know if I should have it turned on or not. I have never had it turned on because I don’t know what it’s purpose is.
If anyone could enlighten me, I would appreciate it. Thanks
In a lot of devices, if that is enabled, it will improve performance. For some devices, and with certain versions of the software, it will make it almost not run. Generally having that enabled will be better - with MOST devices.

It helps older Android devices the most. Basically, if you aren’t in awe of the app’s newfound speed after flipping the option on, it probably isn’t for you.
