Google Home/Assistant Integration

This is actually a great, albeit cumbersome and delayed, workaround.

I have been using it for quite some time to have Google Home and Alexa to initiate Voice Command Routines that trigger actions in Wyze Rules that aren’t available in Google Home or Alexa (like turn off\on cam notifications, or cams). My go to device is the Plug. I currently have 16 plugs designated to do this.

The most convenient feature I have found in this integration use case on the Wyze Plug (or Bulb) is that it has a “Turn On For” Action and “Has been On For” Trigger within the Wyze Rules so that another device rule isn’t required to turn it back off and reset. It can turn itself off.

Will keep an eye out for cheap Wyze plugs… hard to justify spending full price for them just to fill a gap in Wyze’s own implementation. For now my rules are turning off my ‘trigger’ camera pretty reliably. I also managed to get the mechanical chime working by upgrading my doorbell transformer which helps.

I bought a bunch of them when Wyze had them on sale. Many have been snatching them up at Home Depot on clearance for $5.99 a pair.
