Glass break sensor release date or even in the works?

Here is what I’ve seen as being officially said about Glass break sensing up to now from the Wyze AMA’s:

What other kinds of sensors are you looking into besides leak and heat sensors?

Smoke/CO and glass break sensors are some of the other immediate ones.

Can wyze cams detect glass break sound frequency and trigger an alarm? If technically possible (and reliable), it would rid us of the need for a separate sensor. Also, the entry sensors should have a mic to pick up glass break sound as well.

I will ask our AI team about this. This is possible and might be something in the works.

Any plans to have a glass break sensor added into the lineup?

We’re exploring a multitude of sensors to add to our lineup, and glass break is one of [the sensors we’re exploring adding to our lineup]. We don’t have a timeline for this one yet.

So Wyze said glass break sensors were being worked on, and a Wyze employee was asked about making this work with Wyze cams to have the AI detect it, and they said they would bring it up with the AI team and that it might already be in the works.

In October there was an email sent out implying they may start having the cameras also detect breaking glass.

No release date on any of it though.

Things can change, but that is everything that I can recall that I’ve seen publicly mentioned on this topic. Hope it helps.
