This why i want the FTP function too. But it would also be nice to have it for a personal website.
Would also like to see an FTP option. Disappointing to see that this request has been open since 2018ā¦and still nothing. Please make at least one Wyze a true IP camera with an FTP option.
I just wanted to voice my want for this feature.
I have a Wyze Cam v3 on my front porch and have installed the firmware that enables RTSP and itās great! Iām able to connect to the RTSP stream from my desktop and have a live view of my front porch from my desk which is great because I donāt have any windows or a peep hole on my front door, so now Iām able to view at least whoās at my door before I answer it.

I initially installed the RTSP firmware in hopes of figuring out a way of streaming and storing the camera feed onto my home NAS. However, my NAS (WD EX2 Ultra w/ 2x 4TB hard drives)((yes I knowā¦ I wish I got a Synology)) doesnāt support ingesting a RTSP stream, so my desire for FTP functionality remains. Iām sure that I could find some workaround of running an application on my desktop 24/7 that ingests the RTSP stream, encodes the video, and saves it on my NAS, but thatās a lot of work and would prefer to not add additional strain on my desktop as I give it plenty of other tasks.
While I would personally prefer a constant stream if this functionality ever does get added, I would be happy if it just saved events to an FTP connection, at least as a proof of concept. And if thereās any concern of losing subscriptions from something like this, I would still be happy if itās a feature that you can only use with a subscription like Cam Plus.
Anyways, sorry for the long post! Just thought Iād add to this forum and share more specifics about what I would use this feature for.
FTP would be cool. Even cooler would be the ability to map a microSD card in a camera as a network drive, like with WebDAV or something.
