Since updating to Wyze app v3, when I click on “Friendly Faces” I now get a message saying that it’s not available in my area? I really hope this isn’t true as it was one of the main reasons that I subscribed to cam plus! This is very disappointing and I may cancel my subscription if true!
Same issue in US in Indiana. Worked prior to the 3 beta
That’s only for Quebec (they’re excluded from almost everything that has rules ) and does not mention the rest of Canada or Toronto, Ontario. Hopefully, it just a glitch and will be resolved soon!
I’ll contact support when I get a chance but I’m curious how many others are affected or if it’s just a widespread issue?
I am currently experiencing the same issue and I am located in the USA, in an area that is not excluded according to their FAQs. After reaching out to support, I was informed that this feature is now exclusively available to cam protect subscribers. It would have been helpful to receive prior notice, although I am not surprised that Wyze did not communicate this change ahead of time, given their previous debacles. It appears that the non cam protect subscribers have lost access to this feature in the new 3.0.0 (16) version of the mobile app.
I sure hope that is not true. The web site says friendly faces is available on CAM Protect OR CAM Unlimited. I have CAM Unlimited and will be very angry if they take it away from me on the new version of the app.
Any idea on this. Indiana is definitely not on the can’t use it list.
Check your external address using the tool here https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup and confirm that the location it tells you is indeed Indiana. Your ISP may be listing one of its locations in another state for that WAN address.
Yep. Indiana all day.
I don’t remember where if it was Facebook or this forum but someone from Support had found another person with the same issue who had a camera that had registered itself in a different state, I do travel with my cameras. I generally don’t have to re-register them, but it is possible that when I switched Wi-Fi or something, I may have flipped one while I was in Nevada Had found the camera that was registered in the wrong state and somehow fixed it
