Fix-It Friday – Final September Update

We missed our September 25 update, so before kicking off October’s Fix-It Friday, here’s one final update on the issues we tracked during September.

1. General microSD Card Issues

Status: Investigating

We’re still investigating the different microSD card issues being reported. Since users aren’t all experiencing the same behavior, we’re continuing to gather information to better understand the different issues and what may be causing them.

If you’re experiencing a microSD card issue, please continue to contact Wyze Support and provide as much detail as possible about what you’re seeing.

We’ll continue investigating and will share updates as we have meaningful new information.

2. Snooze Notifications Not Working on iOS

Status: More Information Needed

We’re still looking for additional information from anyone experiencing issues with either Snooze All Notifications From This Camera or Snooze All Notifications on iOS.

If you’re still experiencing this:

  1. Enable the Snooze option.

  2. Wait a few minutes to allow any notifications that were already in the pipeline to come through.

  3. If notifications continue after that, submit a log from the affected camera by going to:

Camera Settings (gear icon in the upper-right) > Wyze Support > Submit a Log

Then post the log number here.

At this time, we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue. If we don’t receive additional reports or logs showing that it is still occurring, we’ll consider this resolved for now.

3. Black Bar at the Bottom of Live View in Landscape

Status: Fixed in Wyze App 3.22

The fix for the black bar covering the bottom portion of Live View in landscape mode was released in Wyze app 3.22.

If you were experiencing this issue and are still seeing it on the latest version of the Wyze app, please let us know.

Updates on Other Bugs

Here are a few updates on other issues we’ve been tracking outside of the three September Fix-It Friday items.

Thermostat Showing Offline After the 3.23 App Update

We’ve identified the root cause of the issue causing some Thermostats to appear offline after updating to Wyze app 3.23.

The team is currently working on the resolution.

Cameras Not Connecting in Groups or Previews

We’ve identified the root cause of an issue causing some cameras to fail to connect when viewing them through camera groups or previews.

The team is currently working on the resolution.

Air Purifier UI Issue

The issue that could block the controls when manually controlling an Air Purifier in the app should be fixed in Wyze app 3.23.

If you were experiencing this issue, please let us know whether 3.23 resolved it for you. If you’re still seeing the problem on the latest version, let us know that as well.

That wraps up our September Fix-It Friday updates. Thank you to everyone who submitted issues, voted, provided logs, and helped us gather information throughout the month.
