We are releasing firmware today for the Wyze Cam Floodlight v2. This update addresses some device offline issues and other bugs. We also have firmware for the Wyze Light Strip and Pro versions to fix a Vacation Mode bug.

This 4.53.3.9759 firmware ignores the “Record to MicroSD card” → “Events Only” setting. Always records “Continuous”
Has anybody else experienced this bug? Recording “Continuous” to the SDcard slows down connects. I’m forced to stop recording to the SDcard to make connect times reasonable.

After trying out a few more possibilities, I was able to fix this. Here’s what I did.
- Stopped recording to SDcard.
- Formatted the SDcard.
- Enabled recording to SDcard.
- Changed SD recordig from “Continuous” to “Events Only”.
Prior to these steps, no matter how many times I changed to “Events Only”, formatting and restarting the app didn’t fix anything.
