Your videos that tag both a person and a vehicle aren’t correct either. There’s no person in those videos, just a vehicle.
I cant see any replies to this post. I have been having the same issue too frequently and doesnt seem to be a concern to many including the vendor
Make sure you submit the AI corrections to Wyze for teaching the AI. I don’t know if you can do this in the web view. You can definitely do it in app though.
Not anymore more you can’t, there’s something wrong with the video submissions operation of the app.
What app are you trying this on? I am on 2.50.7.487 for andriod and it works fine. What is happening when you try to submit to help the AI?
What have your tried for troubleshooting?
Id try to delete the app, restart your phone, and then reinstall a fresh copy of the app and try again for starters.
When submitting the AI corrections it should update the tags associated with the event list automatically. I get several person notifications when it’s just a tree waving in the wind. I have the V3 pan and so I can’t set detection zones if I want it to actually use the pan function (I saw the detection zones have been suggested already). I’m too new of an account to suggest that the AI correction submissions update the tags on the event, but I’ve been using wyze for a couple of years now and even on the V2 and updating the detection zone it still gave me false positives of a person from that same tree waving in the wind. I did not have the part of the tree that was triggering the motion in the detection zone yet it still triggered it. I have submitted NUMEROUS of these false positives but there is still no improvement.
What else is in the frame that is being tagged person? Can you post an event video?
No need to post a video. I have been a long time Wyze user and this is happening to everyone including myself. Every car that passing by even when the windows are tinted detect a person. If Wyze would fix theses issue they can save cloud storage by a lot.
Here’s a good one. Got a notification for a package today but was not expecting one. Played the video and what to my surprise, the package was the UPS truck passing near driveway. I guess large, square and brown qualified the AI algorithm for a package. Just as 2 tree trunks at night hit with car headlights qualified the AI algorithm for a person. Never a dull moment with Wyze AI false detections.
Ok. Just know that the detected motion isn’t necessarily the what the AI tagged as a recognized object. I’ve seen lawn decorations shaped like people cause person tags. Could be something else in frame that is being “recognized”.
@Omgitstony - aware of that potential but in these instances, clearly not the case. The UPS truck was daytime and passing near the 2 trees that are always inframe for that cam. Ironically, the same trees several hours later at night that was the false person when the car headlights hit them. That image could be mistaken in the blink of an eye as a person in night vision.
I have never gotten these false notifications from this cam and it has been in the same place for a long time. That environment should be known by the cams AI detection at this point, it does not change except for moving activities. Should be getting the person/tree constantly day and night but it was a 1 time event. Happened within a carved out detection zone with vehicle detection off due to partial street view. Maybe the notifications are because I have vehicle off, but again, should be getting constant notifications if that’s the case and I do not.
