Expand Automation Rules and Scripting

A new Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro user and would like to have the Rules be expanded to include actions on multiple devices. For example, it would be nice to be able to have a function(Rule) that turns on ALL of the floodlights with the same Rule.

Lots of things can be done with rules and scripting. Would be great to see Wyze introduce a robust feature.

In your rule, just tap “Add Action +” to add device action. Keep repeating this as many times as you wish for whichever device and available action. Click “Save” when done. There is no limit to number of actions per rule.

Welcome to the Wyze User Community Forum @Mark.Mathias! :raising_hand_man:

I have a rule that does this for each of my Floodlight Pros. When either detects a Person, it turns on the lights for the other one as well as 4 Wyze plugs that power extra LED Floodlights.

The problem is that when it turns them on, it can’t turn them off. There is no “Turn on For” X minutes for the Floodlight Pro. The plugs have that capability.

To turn the lights off after X minutes, I have to use an Alexa Routine.

Thank you. I’ll have to give that a try.

Thanks for the information. A question for you about Alexa. If I have a Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro called “Deck” and I say to my Alexa smart speaker: “Alexa, turn on Deck”, will Alexa turn on the FLOODLIGHTS or does the “turn on” command turn on the POWER to the device?

It will turn on the floodlights.

Thank you. Good to know. I wonder if I can put all of the floodlights in an Alexa group called “Floodlights” and then say “Alexa, turn on Floodlights.” I know I can do this with wall outlets, so hopefully it will work with floodlights.

You should be able to. I’m not sure about the V1 floodlight though since it is a V3 Accessory.
