What’s going on at Wyze? Are they going under or what ???
I have events missed now and then from Wyze cams, I attribute it to Internet issues.
I don’t have the best Internet living in a heavily wooded rural location on Cellular Router.
If my cellular network has issues so does the cam’s ability to record events reliably.
Tried Reolink’s and they work better in my situation as they do not require Internet to be “fully” functional.
There are many other brands of cams that don’t rely on the Internet for operating, and are not hobbled without a subscription.
Doubt that’s the reason. I have fast broadband and it happens to me occasionally. I attribute it to Wyze tinkering with the back end, without much prior testing.
Are the events missing or the notifications?
A few of us have noticed the same thing for notifications. It isn’t clear if it is Wyze or Android (there was no Wyze app update before it started). In the wyze app turning on “running in background” and in android enabling “unrestricted” battery seems to resolve it. I do still see some delays from time to time but they all come through, and I haven’t seen any difference in battery usage.
Events missing for the last two days on my cam. Not sure if I need to reset something or if it’s an issue that Wyze needs to address.
Are the events listed in the app and you just aren’t getting notifications of them? If so see my reply above.
If you’re getting no events at all you may need to try the “reset services” and/or rebooting the cams etc. Even your router can block that traffic and might need a reboot.
I have the same problem and it seems to have started around the same time as you. I have a V3 and only noticed it after a firmware update.
It is definitely Wyze issue as I am experiencing the same on iOS. It has happened in the past, I’m guessing something to do with their servers.
Nothing after 11:58 PM 15 April 2025. Internet on the 2.4 network is still 100 down and 40 up. 14 cameras.

Give it some time, they’re running late
It was nice enough to show me leaving earlier this morning and just now coming back.
Wow, my event problem has resolved itself. Guess I just needed to wait it out. Thanks all for your responses
When it comes to events and notifications, nine out of ten times it is Wyze as they are server dependent.
I have reset mine and even switched to a different camera and still not recording events
Yes, 11:59pm April 15. All recording stopped on multiple cameras. Today, help desk suggested I ‘reset services’ on one of my cameras, which then re-‘bound’ all the cameras to the service plans. Now all cameras are recording and display on event viewer as designed.
@bryonhu I agree with you that Wyze doesn’t seem to be good at testing before releasing a product to the market. They rush head-long into tinkering with and developing another flawed new product. I have a lot of Wyze devices and plan to scrap them all. One small example: I have new version plugs with 2 on the same schedule and they turn on and off at different times by over 1/2 hour, one by 3 hours different from the schedule. These are plant lights. I need to control them properly. Also forget using Wyze at 2 different residences. When a new firmware uploads and a problem happens, it wants you to reset the device. I can’t do that when I am not at the location for possibly several months. They only seam to test on the bench and not in the real world.
