I did a lot of testing with a V2 last fall, and am quite sure that the detection zone was common to both. Not so sure about motion sensitivity - that one is harder to test.

I agree the detection zone is common, but the sensitivity isn’t on the V2. It’s one of the reasons I use continuous recording. I had some Events that didn’t have an SD card video when I tried event only. I’ve heard the sensitivity of SD event only is at 50, which is really odd in my opinion. It should be at 100 and record all movement and only alert based on user selected sensitivity. I think Wyze’s goal is to make them consistent, but I could go with either of these #roadmap s on sensitivity :

Green box for motion tagging, Red box for notifications

Motion tagging and event recording to the SD card are not on the same sensitivity as for notifications. I find this to be not intuitive and causing a lot of WTH responses. There seems to be a missing link where sensitivity actually starts triggering a notification. For example, if motion tagging (green box) were to identify every motion recognizable and a red box identified motions that trigger notification, users would be able to fine tune the sensitivity and could visually see what should trig…

Separate Motion Detection (recording trigger) and AI-Detection (notification) zones

It would be nice to set a notification zone over top of a detection zone. For example, this would allow me to detect (record) someone walking down my sidewalk, but only get notifications if they walk near my front door. I still want to record cars that may have stopped in front of my house, but only get notifications if they pulled into my driveway.
