I’m away from home and get this message. What would cause this? It’s been like
all day.Normally that error code means it is offline or cannot connect to the server. Normally a power cycle will fix this error. But you have to be near the camera to inspect it and reset it. Is this the only camera?
Also if you check out this link it will show you more troubleshooting steps.
Basic Troubleshooting
From the support page:
General Meaning : Power Cycling generally refers to fully powering an electronic device off, usually disconnecting it from any source of power.
When we use it : For us this will mean the same and can be done by following these suggested steps.
- Unplug the camera from its power source, this can be done either on the wall or camera side.
- Allow 5-10 seconds to pass for the camera to completely discharge.
- Plug the camera back into the power source and allow it reinitialize.
Not easy to do at a distance.
Yes it’s the only camera I have. When my wife gets home I’ll see if she can unplug it and plug it back in.
jetskiflorida you just asked how to set up a cam on a hotspot. Any chance this was the cam, and you took your hotspot phone with you?
No. I brought 2 cameras with me. I have 3 total. Only one at home now. Last event was 5:47 am when my neighbor left for work.
My wife unplugged it, waited about 30 seconds and plugged it back in. Seems to be working fine now.
