What was happening off camera? Do you have any idea? The lead 
seemed to clue into something immediately, and the other one seemed to take a few moments to become aware.

I checked another cam that had a view of what they were looking at but didn’t see anything except a different raccoon in the back yard.. Maybe the neighbor’s dog was on the other side of the fence? The raccoons were reunited in the back yard a couple of min later.

Wow that was weird, because if they were RUNNING FROM something, then why suddenly decide it wasn’t a big deal and head back toward the danger?
At first I thought maybe one was chasing the other, but that wasn’t right. You could tell from their body language that it was fear. But then after getting smacked in the face, he decided it wasn’t that scary after all. lol
The with the bad front leg/paw is the one who made it under the gate. It’s had a bad front leg/paw for a few months. I watched another video of it hoping across the street on it’s way back to meet up with the other one.
