Duo Cam won't pick up pets, please help

I can’t get it to pick up pets, I have sensitivity on max. My other pro cam does fine with pets.

Interesting point you raised. I did a filter on my duos and discovered some very concerning results. Person and package detections were spot on, however, pets were disturbingly inconsistent and absent. Several days there were none and some only 1, when there should have been mutiple. My 2 dogs go out daily in the front yard via the front door. There should be detections every day. Missing multiple days in a row is very troublesome. The detections I get are only if both cameras pick up the pets. Guess I’ll have to pay closer attention and tweak the settings.

Thanks. What I am not clear on is if you click on a filter and it shows the green box does that mean it won’t detect that item or it will? Also when I go back later they are all unselected.

This is the sequence: Events > Camera > check box(es) for camera(s) > Show Results (green box)
Results will be shown for that or those cameras checked on the current day. Tap a date at the top to display new results. Tap Camera to change or Clear then Show Results to reset the filter. All the boxes are unchecked because you did not select camera(s) and tap the green Show Results box.

Hope this helps.

I have recently had to turn on “All Motion” in order to pick up at least half of my pet detections, which as many show up as motion only, not pet. It seems much worse now than it has ever been in knowing what the heck it’s seeing, especiallly with pets.
So recently, I have a sea of “motion detected” to go through and view to find which are actually animals. Ordinarily wouldn’t be so bad if only my detection zones were working. Those too seem to have gone in the toilet, causing areas that are blocked due to wind movement, now triggering movement again.

Unrelated to pet detection, I monitor my elderly father who has taken some pretty good falls lately and the last time he was down for over 10 minutes and I had no idea, and ended up going to ER.
So i now turn on notifications in the daytime to know when he is coming and going into the house and keep eye on him. Today, I got the notification six minutes after the fact.

Not sure what is up, but it seems AI is getting less intelligent. I know it’s not a fortune that I pay, but I do pay for a premium service, and feel it’s not giving me the experience paid for.

I also am a cam+unlimited subscriber and have v3Pro’s along with almost all other models. You should have checked off Pet in the list of smart detections to manage events and notifications. I don’t like that you have to toggle on motion, but have been advised that cams won’t give you the event unless you do so. Definitely a downside to the results with Wyze cams.

Agreed, that is what I “should” do, and used to, until I noticed the cameras were not picking up pets a lot of times. I do still tick the “pet” box under recordings/notifications. It still (AI - wise) only detects pets 1/2 - 2/3 of time. Or categorizes them I should say. The rest are recorded as “motion detected”
