Duo Cam Pan keeps drifting away from its set waypoints

The camera is using its existing wire and plug from the box and connected to an outdoor extension cord plugged to an outside power source. I have had the pan cam v3 for a couple of years with no issues in that very same spot plugged to that very same extension cord.

Thank you for your feedback. Our team will be in touch with you for the next steps.

This issue can’t be a hardware problem because it was working for me perfectly then after an update it went to hell. I don’t check constantly throughout the day but I do believe at least daily it loses it’s set waypoint - on all 3 of my camera’s currently in use.

Sorry for the trouble — we’re sorry the experience hasn’t been great so far.

We’re planning some optimizations in the next firmware version, and I’d love to confirm whether the issue you’re experiencing falls within the scope of those improvements.

Could you please share more details about the issue? A detailed description would be very helpful.

Also, if you’re able to submit a log through the app and share any photos or screenshots related to the issue, that would really help our team investigate more effectively.

Thanks so much for your support and patience!

Since this started after the update, it’s possible the issue is related to the upgrade. Try giving the device a quick reboot and see if that helps — let us know how it goes!

I’ve been hearing that forever, I’ll believe it when I see it. Until then, I won’t count on it.

I have a cam pan v4 that drifts away from its setpoint. It is has only one setpoint, it is not used in panning/tracking mode.

Why do I have to readjust the home waypoint every day on the duo cam pan camera?

I’ve had the Duo Cam Pan for 3 days and have reset the home waypoint 5 times… glad to know that I’m not crazy and I’m not the only one with the issue. Wyze, when is the fix coming??

I have the same problem with duo cam pan and I waiting to wyze fixing too

All three of my Pan v3’s and my Pan Duo do this and randomly look to some weird location… I’ve tried resetting and doing all the steps listed in here and nothing fixes is. I finally was forced to turn pan and motion follow off which is upsetting and disappointing… I would have just gotten a V4 without panning.

I am having the same issues with the Cam Pan duo that I just set up, will be trying the suggestions in this chat, but hoping for a fix..

This problem is not new I have the same problem and no new suggestions to resolve the issue, Wyze support has no idea how to solve this.

I tried what was suggested in this chat as far as restarting the camera, and manually going to the cam pan limits, then recalibrating and clearing waypoints and not having the camera track. The camera didn’t move off of its last set point for at least 4 hours. then i re-enabled the track motion, and set a home waypoint, went back and checked it about an hour later, and it was way off from its home waypoint.

So is the current solution for drifting is to turn off motion tracking?

That would be ridiculous. What’s the point in having motion tracking if it can’t find its way back to its original position? All I get is BS responses like ā€œrestartā€ - like over the last couple years I haven’t done that a few times?
