This is something I could imagine using if the form factor was done well. If the USB ports had adequate power output, then I could also see this as an alternative for powering Cams, and the ports could be USB-A or USB-C (or one of each) to accommodate different use cases. Ideally, each outlet and port within the device would have independent app-controlled power switches so that it would be possible to power cycle a Cam plugged into its USB-A port, for instance, without disturbing any other electricity use routed through the device.
I’d still really like to see smart plugs with integrated night lights, too.
