For a while, this seemed to be related to firmware, starting with the update from April of this year, and Wyze has released additional updates since then. I experience it occasionally with the current production firmware, but it also seems like it may be app dependent, because I seem to get more consistent and reliable notifications on my phone running the last v2.5x app than I do on my phone running the v3.0 app (both production versions on Android).

Also, Wyze developers seem to be doing constant back-end work. Just a few days ago, the ā€œCameras as Chimeā€ feature stopped producing the ā€œFailā€ message in the v3.0 app, and that was without any apparent app or firmware update, so itā€™s reasonable to suspect a server tweak. :man_shrugging:
