THREE YEARS Later and I just found out this major flaw has not been fixed by Wyze. WOW.

I heartily agree! I do not use the chime indoors, and most certainly do not want to hear the noise coming from outside this small house. Not to mention my neighbour whose house is very close by. I mistakenly assumed that in this day and age the ability to mute the exterior doorbell would be de rigeur.

Please fix this!

I know that Battery Video Doorbell isn’t explicitly mentioned in this topic’s tags, but I noticed earlier today that the Android Wyze app (as of App Version 3.10.5.749, Plugin Version 3.10.0.5, Battery Video Doorbell Firmware Version 1.0.0.2083) shows a Doorbell Volume line in its Settings, and tapping that shows a screen with a 7-position slider. Apparently it defaults at 6 but can be adjusted down to 0, effectively muting the ding-dong sound that comes from the device itself.

I don’t have any of the other battery-powered doorbell models (Video Doorbell Pro, Duo Cam Doorbell), so I can’t speak to those, and I’m not sure why Wyze hasn’t seemed to announce the availability of this feature, but it worked when I tested it (at volumes 0, 1, and 6) on Battery Video Doorbell, so that seems like at least some progress with this request.

SIlence outdoor chime on Wyze Duo Doorbell like you can on the V2

I recently purchased the Duo Doorbell so that I can see who it at the door and see packages that have been delivered. And, I want to use my existing mechanical door chimes.

However, I don’t want to hear the chime at the actually doorbell itself. Can you please update the software so that you can silence the outdoor chime like you can on the Doorbell v2? The reason I didn’t want the v2 is that it’s hard to see packages without a shim/wedges and I really don’t want the fishes effect. Thanks!
