I recently got a Wyze window camera. I’m viewing it on my Echo Show 5, but it times out after every 10 minutes. I don’t want to have my PC on all day just to view this window camera. The Echo Show is perfect except for the time out. Is there a display that you could recommend that small and would stay on all day? I read the fire tablet times out also but I’m not sure of that.
Any modern 64 bit tablet can run the wyze app and you can configure it with no screen timeout, but be aware that this will definitely cause wear and tear on the screen over time. I would get a cheaper tablet like Lenovo that doesn’t use an OLED screen, as LCD/LED deal better with long viewing.
As far as the echo I don’t know if that can be customized or not. Fire tablets can’t run the wyze app so they’d likely have the same limitation since they’d be using the alexa “skill”, same thing the echo show is doing.
Most tablets have the ability to have HDMI video output so you could even connect it to a cheap computer monitor or small TV to have a bigger view and less wear on the tablet’s screen.
Samsung just release a budget tablet a month ago. I have been watching for price drops. The Tab A11+ has a TFT LCD screen and gets 7 years of Android updates. The Walmart price is $219.
