I don’t know if this is what this feature request was about, but “motion detected” really should be a separate notification category than “doorbell pressed”. For example I want my motion detected notification to be a short beep while the doorbell notification needs to be a Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding. Right now they all go into the same WyzeMessage it seems.
It should be trivially easy. I rarely make assumptions about code I haven’t seen, but I know this is something an intern can pull off quickly.
I stopped using my, about to blow up, Shock V55 and switched to a real phone. This let me use a few different sounds. I got a Motorola Edge+ 2022 version, but its battery only lasts for 3 days. So I got a Max V Pro. It has pretty much full sound options for everything, and the battery can last up to a month. It’s pleasing to know what’s beeping at you by sound!
I have an S23, I’m pretty sure it qualifies as a “real phone”. But I don’t see how to have different notifications for doorbell vs motion, they all fall into the same WyzeMessage.
Oh, my Shock was a lifeline phone. They are pretty low on the totem pole as far as features. The difference between it and the Moto is like a bamboo raft compared to a modern aircraft carrier. So yeah, your phone, the new one I got, pretty much anything is a real phone compared to it.
