Desperately Seeking Spotlight Help!

Please help! For the love of g o d, I can’t figure out how to turn the spotlight off of my Wyze Can v4. I use it in my front window to look at the street and don’t want it flashing every time a vehicle drives by and alerts people that I am a paranoid freak! Ugh!

I set the Spotlight Settings to “manual” and the time from 11am-11am thinking that I would outsmart the camera. Nope! It! Is! Driving! Me! Crazy!

Any suggestions?

Also, my teens think that they are outsmarting me by turning the cameras and I now feel the need to mount these little suckers. ARG!

If it is set to manual, the times have no effect.

Are you sure you don’t have an automation set to turn it on when motion is detected?

Other than that, are you sure it is actually set to manual? Whichever one is white is active, grey is inactive. So manual should be white.

Both my V4 cams also work as advertised. I have it set to manual and don’t use it. I have used it in the Auto mode on the sunset to sunrise schedule and it worked as scheduled, I just don’t like it because I have enough ambient light available.

Check your automations.

I would reset the spotlight settings back to default (high, manual, and dusk to dawn) just to rule any of that out. Not sure if the 11 to 11 might be confusing it.

If there are no automations set up, try doing a “reset services” on the cam. The “Auto” on that screen is basically an automation, and automations are run by the Wyze servers, so resetting the services can get it back in synch.
