I’ve just ordered my first sensor to use for our house-mounted, but metal, mailbox. It’s going to have to go on the outside of the mailbox and lid (it’s covered by the porch) but WHITE is really going to stand out on my matte black mailbox.
Has anyone used a Cricut (or similar) to cut a vinyl skin for their sensors, and if so, would you be willing to share an svg file or the dimensions you cut.
I know I can buy them from any number of vendors online, but I have a vinyl cutter and vinyl, so why not do it myself and save a few dollars… to spend on more sensors, bulbs, plugs and cameras.

I wrapped mine in electrical tape.

I don’t know that electrical tape wouldn’t lose its stick in the Midwestern summer heat. It’s always an option, though. Thanks!

I live in Iowa so it gets pretty warm. Just depends on the year

St. Louis here. Pretty much pure misery during the summer, IMHO.

No way you get the Cardinals are you kidding me. But I’m sure it’s a little bit hotter down there than it is here

See, I live in the wrong baseball town… and have my entire life. I learned at a young age NOT to discuss baseball around here. I blame my parents, cable television and having WGN Channel 9.

Why wouldn’t you just paint it the same color as the mail box?

I would think vinyl would adhere and wear better than paint, that’s why. I’m working ahead, I just ordered it today.
