Hey WYZE cam developers! Here are two suggestions from a WYZE customer:
#1. Make a SPY VERSION of a WYZE cam, which is VERY SMALL, and runs on BATTERY POWER, and records to SD card by default, without any need for advance setup via WIFI, and without any need to connect to WIFI during its deployment. As long as it can run and record for 24-to-48 hours, it will be VERY USEFUL for specific needs of identifying wrongdoers in areas where the other WYZE cams cannot be used. This can be an extremely successful product.
#2. Make WYZE cams that have BATTERY BACKUP, so that:
A. You can set it up plugged in to an electric outlet, where your WIFI reaches, then, unplug it from that electric outlet — the battery seamlessly takes over — and move it to a “new” area that your WIFI does NOT reach, then, plug it in to a “new” electric outlet — the battery seamlessly lets the “new” electric outlet take over in the area with no WIFI.
B. That should allow recording to SD card in an area where your WIFI does not reach, without the problem of the cam failing to reboot (after loss of power) in the area that WIFI does not reach.
C. Of course, you have to set up the cam properly (to record to SD card) before it is moved beyond the range of your WIFI. And, you cannot view anything recorded on the SD card until you bring the cam back within the range of your WIFI (or remove the SD card from the cam and use a computer to view the SD card content).
I hope WYZE will convert these suggestions into REALITY!
