Degree of confidence?

But… where’s the blood? Where’s the body?

If the babies were small they got swallowed, no blood no body no evidence except the nesting material.

Thanks @habib and @Seapup for solving the mystery.

Now my household has two camps:
“Oooooh… those poor babies!!”
“If only the fox ate the mother too!”

I of course, belong to the latter, given how the rabbits have been eating my tomato leaves.

That’s why you need possums and :raccoon: (s). They behave and don’t eat my tomatoes or the plants.

I do have a rather large family of :raccoon: this year, but so far they haven’t figured out how to get through the fence into the backyard yet. :upside_down_face:

A buzzer went off and said you guys wanted to ask me a question but probably just a false alarm. Anyway, I really like the title. The whole thing, actually.

looks like small bunny scampering into bushes ad 18/19 seconds.

Well… on the SD recording the fox was there for another good 10 minutes before leaving, but I’ll tell the other camp in my household your hypothesis so they can feel better.

I watched it on VLC @CliffOdell is correct

Whoa, thanks @CliffOdell and @Antonius. I think I’m going to check the origin of that zooming object to see if there’s a hole there. Definitely there’re plenty of holes in my backyard from chipmunks and rabbits…

Looked all around that area but didn’t see any holes… Now it’s a mystery where the rabbit came from and how the fox didn’t see it.
