I successfully activated 6 months cloud service with the following steps.

  1. Reset your Wyze Cam v4 from Wyze app.
  2. Delete your Wyze Cam v4 from Wyze app.
  3. Add your Wyze Cam v4 to your Wyze app.
  4. During adding it, you can see 6 month free trial.

Out of curiosity did Wyze need to do anything first?

I tried this and I did see the 6 month Cam+ offer but when I un-check the auto renewal for Cam+ and then click continue, the program freezes.
Repeated this three times with no success, froze each time.

Wyze contacted me and asked me to delete and reload my payment information to fix the issue with loading the 6 months of free cam +
I did and everything is working fine now.

That honestly seems like a pretty lazy and ridiculous fix. I’ll see what happens when I get mine going here shortly. I’ve seen others say it’s associated with the MAC address, so existing payment info should not be relevant or matter.

I had PayPal set up on my account to pay with but the 6 month trial would not finish loading. I did not check the box to auto renew so it should not have mattered if PayPal did not work. After adding a credit card, the set up went through without any issues.

Has anyone able to activate the 6 months subscription if they already have 3 Cam+ licenses in the account? According to Compare Home Security Plans, it said max 3 licenses per account for Cam+

I have a cam + license for 3 cams and Wyze added the two 6 month trial to that plan for a total of 5 cam+ Wyze told me my 3 cam + would renew at the regular exp. date and the two free trials would exp. at the end of 6 months.

The 3 cam + bundle covers three cameras for an annual fee. Wyze does not offer that plan anymore.

In all my years with Wyze, I didn’t know there was ever a bundled Cam+ subscription.

They ran a special after they started charging for recordings, it covered any three cams under one annual fee.

I have 4 cam+ licenses myself for a couple of years now. 2 together on an annual sub, and 2 each on a monthly sub.
