Continuous motion capture notifications

How do I turn off the continuous motion capture notification? Even though I have notifications for certain smart events turned off, I get the continuous motion capture notification even if I’m not getting the person detected or whatever. It’s supremely aggravating.

Disable “other motion” and/or “other sounds”.

Can you post a picture of the notification you speak of just so I’m not speaking out of the wrong orifice on this one. I want to make sure I’m not confusing anything. I may be able to help you here, I have been guided for many many years by my buddy Loki here on the forums on the notification setups and am rather fluent in them now.

Where would I find that? I don’t see anything like that on my app in iOS.

When I select notifications on the camera settings, I get the screen. The only customization that I see is the one that I posted above.

OK first off thank you for clarifying all of that and having all that ready! That is rather refreshing.

So under your package detection notification typically there is another area for “other motion,” and that’s everything else that’s not the AI, go into your event detection page where you choose the smart detection, and set it to detect everything not just the smart ai stuff then go back into your notifications and see if you have an additional notification underneath the package detection that reads “other motion.”

Disable that if you can and then go back and set your event detection up for only smart detection. For some reason I’m thinking that maybe you had everything enabled along with notifications at one point maybe when you set the camera U an when you picked smart detection even though that option got blacked out somewhere in the end of the camera it’s still wanting to show notifications for that. Even though it shouldn’t.

That is the only way I can think that you might be able to get that to show up, so give that a shot and let me know if it works. I’m really really really hoping it does.

Thanks for this!! I did what you said, and the choice to stop the notifications for other motion did show up. I unchecked it for the trailer door camera and we’ll see what happens. The neighbors cats love to hide under the cargo trailer, so I’m sure they’ll trigger the camera soon. And then I can see if I get that notification.

Yes hopefully you only see the pet notification if anything now. Give me updated! feel free to tag me in just in case I don’t see a reply.

It is confusing as once you have a cam plus subscription, the “event recording” and “notification” screens become different (without a subscription they both go to the same place and are identical).

As long as you have unchecked notify (and tag if you don’t want it recorded at all) under event recording, you should no longer get notifications, changing it under event recording should also update the notifications (even when you can’t see that option there).
