Changing Wi-Fi network Wyze base station is connected to

I am creating a security VLAN to put my cameras on that has a different SSID then my other VLAN’s. However, I cannot find an easy way to move the base stations over to the new VLAN without deleting them and adding them back in. Wyze support says:

Want to change the Wi-Fi that your Wyze Base Station is connected to?

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on your Wyze Base Station.
  2. Tap on the Settings gear on the top right.
  3. Tap Device Info > Wi-Fi Network.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to finish the setup

When I do this it says connect the base station to my router via ethernet but then never has a next button. Anyone find an easy way to move the base stations from one Wi-Fi network to another?

I don’t have one of these, but be VERY, VERY Careful when you do this. Under no circumstances delete the camera or base if they are offline or you will NEVER be able to add them back to your account. Wyze bricks them as a security measure to prevent stolen cameras and base stations from being added to a different account.

Can’t you just do the steps shown before changing the network?
The base needs to be connected to the router via ethernet prior to changing to wifi, you can’t go from wifi to a different wifi.

You probably need to delete them while on line and set all up again. Just my guess. And as stated above do not delete if offline.

Nope I connect the base to the router and then nothing happens and all the Wyze apps says is to connect the base to the router, there is no next button and it doesn’t proceed forward it just has the message on repeat or a cancel button.

Did you go to settings >Device info > tap the ethernet arrow and it goes to the next page. I’ve never done it but that is what directions say.

Even if you get the base to switch I think you will still need to pair the cams to the base again.

I will try it again, but when I did it earlier it just gave a spinning gear wheel and never took me to another page. I am thinking I will have to remove them and just do a new a setup I was just trying to avoid it.

That time it brought up the screenshots you showed but it will not connect it just says connect failed. Not sure why its not connecting since my iPhone connected to it pretty easily, but if I remember correctly these older base stations had that issue when I bought them. Took forever to connect them.
