Can't assign Cam Service to cameras

The App Service setting used to allow assigning Cam Plus or Cam Unlimited service to the cameras.

That seems to have disappeared from the interface. Now I have cameras that I can’t assign to a service I paid for.
Calling support for help is useless. They’re more of a therapy outfit (yeah, we understand, we filed it, there’s nothing else we can do…).

This constant unexplained functionality churn, with no clear reason is buggy and frustrating.

Try the web portal…it’s controlled from there.

Like WildBill says, check that the camera is assigned to Cam Plus, via the account tab of the Wyze portal.

If that still doesn’t fix it, reset the camera on the Wyze app, “Settings->Reset Services”.

I have a V3 that’s already covered by Cam Ultimate but was still asking me to upgrade. Resetting it fixed the problem.

The web portal works. Thanks.
But the frustration is
WTF did they take it OUT of the app?
And if they do make a change like that, the App should tell you to go to the web portal.

Does it matter how the subscription was purchased? I know that if I tap into  Account ➜ Services ➜ ➜ Manage Subscription I see a message that says, “Web plans can’t be managed in the Wyze app. Please visit the Wyze website to manage your subscription.” I haven’t ever tried purchasing a subscription via the app.

I think the OP was asking why Cam Plus camera setup is on the server, and not via the app.

I dig. I’m just asking the related follow-up question because the app’s message is making a distinction about “Web plans”, and I’m wondering if plans purchase with an app are managed by the app. I understand that they’re more expensive that way because of Google’s and Apple’s markup, and I’ve read about users having problems with payment issues when one of those third parties is involved, but I don’t know if that affects direct management of a plan (assigning cameras, etc.).
