Cannot view V3 cameras events on app version 2.50.7

Wonder if anyone also has this issue? For last couple days, I can’t view events that were recorded on all my V3 cameras with CamPlus subscription while using app version 2.50.7 on iPhone. It just hangs while loading the video (circle with 0B).

I don’t see this issue on my iPad with the newer 3.0 app, on V3 cameras with just CamPlus Lite, nor events from video doorbell V2.

Yes, same for Android app version 2.50.9. Mine broke when my v3 cams were updated from firmware version 4.36.14.2497 to latest beta 4.36.15.4389. Wyze app is throwing an “expired key” error. Wyze is aware of the issue. Not sure if/when it will be fixed for Cam v3. Cam Pan v3 had a similar issue and it was fixed last week.

My v3 cams running beta 4.36.15.4389 firmware do work well with the Wyze app versions 3.x.x.

I am able to view v3 Cloud Event videos on IOS App version 2.50.9 (1) and Android App version 2.50.9 (512). Cloud Event video playback even works using App version 2.50.7 (487) on Fire tablet.

V3 firmware version is 4.36.14.3497 and I am using Cam Plus Lite.

At some point we’re going to have to accept that the old app isn’t going to be supported.

The only thing I use it for now is when I need to review video on an OG due to the extremely slow response of SD video on the 3 app. Hopefully they’ll fix that issue in 3 soon.

They’ve been implementing new security on the firmware and 3.x app so I’m actually surprised the 2.x still works at all. This seems like just normal 1 year expiry of a certificate and not anything related to the new protocols.

If the V3 camera has CamPlus lite, events uploaded to cloud have no problem viewing from app version 2.50.7. The problem is when camera has CamPlus.

I guess I have a winning combination, App 2.50 and Cam Plus Lite!

I don’t see how this problem could be in V3 firmware. It worked fine until last couple days. I didn’t change anything. I don’t see the problem if CamPlus lite is assigned to camera; only when CamPlus assigned and using app version 2.50.7.

My guess is Wyze modified their service/server and broke app version 2.50 with CamPlus

It has had some growing pains but honestly it works fine for me. The only issue I currently have is that reviewing OG SD card footage is very slow, started like 6 months ago. But I’ve figured out tricks to mostly avoid it, and pull out my 2.5 phone when I really need to search.

But you need to be aware that 2.5, whether officially announced or not, is end of life. 3.x came out over a year ago, they are not maintaining 2.5 other than maybe updating a security cert etc. With the new encryption protocols they’ve been rolling out to the cams, 2.5 will be less and less usable. It already has issues with Panv3 and waypoints, more stuff like that will keep happening.

The only major complaint I had with the 3 app was that cameras would fail to load reliably and the favorites screen always had some cams that were frozen or only updating every few seconds. Disabling the autoplay on favorites solved that. I use a cam group when I want to see multiple cams anyway, and that still works fine.

It’s opposite for me, but it’s based on Cam Plus Lite only.

Android app 2.50.7.487 and 2.50.9.512 broke the live viewing Cam V3 on beta FW 4.36.15.4389. Live viewing works fine on FW 4.36.14.3497. Can Plus Lite events are fine for both firmware.

Based on what @Salor said above, it is very likely Cam Plus and Cam Plus Lite events works differently.
