Can i buy a wyze sense hub on its own (i.e. without HMS subscription?)

Currently, when ordering from Wyze you will need to get the subscription. If you order from Amazon, you can get the setup and use it without service, as a standard hub to connect the V2 Sensors and do self-monitoring. However, if you would like to set the Alarm or use the keypad, you will need the service.

I have purchased HMS with service but have not activated it. So I can use all of the items and turn the alarm on and off, but I remain in test Mode as to not trigger a call to Noonlight.

I have done the same as you. I don’t trust Wyze anymore.
