How do I set up my Wyze doorbell camera V2 to not record cars passing in the road at night 50 ft from my front door. I am running the basic (free) app?
Thanks

The app is the same regardless of whether or not you use a subscription. If you choose to subscribe at some point, then you’ll have the option of enabling or disabling vehicle notifications and event recordings by selecting whatever Smart Detections you like.
Without a subscription, your event detections are all going to be for generic motion based on the percentage of pixels in the image that change moment by moment, so your ways to minimize unwanted detections are basically limited to enabling a Detection Zone and adjusting Motion Detection Sensitivity. You can set both of these from your Video Doorbell v2’s Live Stream screen by navigating to Settings ➜ Detection Settings. Finding the right balance for what you want to see versus what you want ignored is largely a trial-and-error process and can take some time to figure out, and you can help yourself by enabling Motion Tagging , which creates a green box on the image around whatever the camera has determined to be the triggering motion. That can be useful in determining where a triggering motion is taking place and can guide your selections for adjusting the Detection Zone and sensitivity. You can always disable that later if you find the optimal settings for your application and no longer want to see the green boxes in your snapshots and event videos.
