You can use manual mode along with automations too. I do that on mine.
From midnight to dawn, if motion is detected, turn spotlight on for 1 minute.
I do that just on my front door cam which has a detection zone limited to the edge of my property, so if someone walks up the walkway during that time, the light lets them know they’re on camera, and I can see their face better.
In my case, I can’t use auto mode as there is enough ambient light that the cameras never go into night mode (which is the only time auto spotlight works). And my front lights are on until midnight so don’t need it before then. The automation works perfectly for me. Doesn’t have a 30 second option but that’s not a big deal, 1 minute is fine.
