I had to replace my router and change my password for security reasons. When I did, none of my cameras would reconnect except for the two OG cameras that I have. I have two pan. Cam V3, a V2 camera, and a doorbell V2. None of them will connect. Connect. Been through all of the troubleshooters, I have talked with the chat bot, and nothing works. I have changed all the settings. I have done all the resets. All of this happened after I ran the last firmware update. I am now over a month without being able to use my cameras.
I’m hoping someone has been through this and has found an answer to this problem.
You said it was after you changed the router but then said it was after a firmware update?
Go into your new router and make sure it is set to WPA2 only, not WPA3 or WPA2/3.
If not that, I’m assuming you went through the setup procedure on each cam again? If you used the same network name on the router with different password, you might actually try factory resetting the cams as maybe that has confused them. I’d say delete them from the app first too just in case that might have some cached credentials in it.
Another thing I’d consider doing is temporarily turning off your phone’s mobile data connection and all SSIDs/radios on the new router except the 2.4 GHz band in order to force your phone’s Internet connection to be via that one route. I’ve had to do this in some cases with IoT devices that didn’t want to connect. Afterward, you can re-enable whatever you had on before.
