Video Doorbell Pro doesn’t have a local storage capability. Maybe you mean Video Doorbell v2? That’s what I use, and I really dig it. I made an angled mount for mine that also covers the microSD card slot. 
If you and/or your wife used Android, then there are ways to use third-party apps to essentially filter unwanted notifications, but the Wyze app doesn’t currently offer this capability natively, and I’m unaware of a way to accomplish that on iOS.
