I know you know the difference as we discussed that above and that was the original description you clarified in your replies after my questions. That is the topic of this thread.
However, subsequent replies from other users indicate a need to travel to the physical location of the cams to power cycle them or reinstall them. This is not the same issue as cams turning off would never need this. This is because the Cams are Offline.
My clarification was for those posting in with the “same problem” when, in fact, it is not the same problem but an Offline connectivity issue.
The distinction was not intended for you, the original poster of the topic, but for those with connectivity issues being misidentified as the same issue you are experiencing.
I found this thread because I was searching for the reason both of my cameras were powered off. Not offline, but powered off. Each camera said “This Device Has Been Turn Off”
Can someone hack into these cameras to turn them off before if they don’t want to be shown?
Yesterday, I got a “person detected” on my phone from the app… but when I opened the app I had to log into it, which was weird. I saw the person but my back yard cam didn’t pick him up.
At the time, the police was on the road behind us and our neighbor mentioned they were using a drone.
Today, I just now noticed the camera’s weren’t sending any notifications, when I back into the app, they were both powered off. My snooze my camera rule is only for 5 minutes. So that couldn’t have been it.
So, again, has anyone reported any hacking in these cameras?
Same problem. Camera shows (camera turned off). I turn it on and when I go back to it it is turned off. Had camera long time and just stared this in last week. It is a wireless outdoor camper powered by solar and shows 100% charges. It is not recording events either when turned off. Someone said change auto off, but I don’t find that anyplace!
