Cam Plus Saved Videos

I have Cam Plus but have never looked at any saved videos except for my Android phone. I thought there was a web page where I could watch, download, delete, etc. videos that were being saved. But when I go here Wyze Cam Plus | Upgrade Wyze Cams & Activate Wyze Subscriber Discount Code nothing but marketing.

So there is no way to download a video from the cloud? Only view on smart phone/device? I donā€™t understand the benefit of Cam Plus.

Cam Plus is an upgrade for Wyze Cam devices that adds Person Detection to your Complete Motion Capture videos. With this service, youā€™ll be able to record full-length videos, receive real-time alerts when people are detected, and filter all of your video clips with people in them.

The only way to initially view the cam plus videos is on a mobile device that has the Wyze app. From there you can download the video to your device and do what you want with it. I upload videos to youtube to save. The cloud retention is a rolling 14 day hold, where videos will stay for 14 days then be deleted from the cloud. One benefit to using camplus, like @Brlepage stated, is to save entire motion videos to the cloud whereas the free cloud storage is limited to 12 sec videos every 5 minutes.

So basically Cam Plus is not much of a convenience as I thought it would be. I have to download a gigantic video file to my phone, then transfer it to a desktop. Wonā€™t make the mistake of renewing this service next year.

I think it will be well worth it if that video file shows a very good picture of a burglar, rapist, or murderer. Personally, I would only download video if it shows some suspicious activity. Ideally itā€™s something I would never use. I pay dearly for homeownerā€™s insurance and I havenā€™t used it since I bought the house about 20 years ago. But, if my hours burns down, Iā€™ll sure be glad Iā€™ve had it for 20 years. That being said, Iā€™d be much happier if my house doesnā€™t burn down. But just because I hope to never use it, that doesnā€™t mean Iā€™m going to cancel it.

Just curious, what was your primary reason to purchase CamPlus? Other than downloading to your PC, what need has it failed to meet?

I havenā€™t bought anything yet, but if I buy cameras without Cam Plusā€¦and I put in a 32 gig SD card in each camera, then recordings will be stored on the SD card, and in the unfortunate situation where I need to save something I just copy it from the SD card.

Could someone please tell me if I can record continuously without paying for Cam Plus if I put a 32 gig SD card in each camera? I understand that it will only save 12 seconds to the cloud, but can it record and store continuously to the SD card without Cam Plus?

Yes. That is correct.

Ok something confusing is the wording of continuously.
I bought my Wyze Cam Outdoor cameras with the 32 GB cards so that I could record motions triggered outside of my house to the 32 GB cards. But it seems from my research after buying these cameras that that is not possible. I have to pay for a service to record motions more than 12 seconds long to a cloud. I honestly donā€™t feel comfortable having the videos of my property sent to a cloud that is on another server somewhere else that somebody can hack into. I didnā€™t buy these cameras to do time lapse or to do anything other than protect my home and it appears that I canā€™t do that without having to pay for a service.
Iā€™m honestly just not happy with the situation at all. Very disappointed that I even bought these cameras.

Maybe send them back for a refund if you still can. The battery-powered Outdoor Camera can not do the continuous recording of the wired V2 or V3. The Outdoor Cameraā€™s battery would die quickly if it did. If you can return them, and for the same price you could probably get a V3 with a SD card.

But yes, on a V2 or V3 you would record ā€˜continuouslyā€™ for whatever time your SD card had space for. After that, it would automatically overwrite the oldest files.

Thank you but Iā€™m not looking to record continuously Iā€™m looking to record when a motion goes off in my yard.
And I bought these ones because I have to have the wireless for both the power and the connection
