I hava a cam pan v4 running outside for 1 day and found that it constantly monitors/tags a vehicle nearest the camera. There is no wind or obvious moving reflections on the vehicle. Watching the camera in live keeps a green square around it. Moving cars 15 feet away are not getting tagged for motion. Decided to add the mask area to cover the entire vehicle and the camera still keeps marking the stationary vehicle with no motion. Tried to restart the camera after applying the mask with no success. Slightly moving the camera upwards so it can’t see the tires helped some just to confuse the tagging. This camera replaced the regular camera v4. That ai tagging worked but this camera has already locked up and of course has tagging issues. Running the latest firmware 4.70.0.2082. Hopefully they get a solid firmware soon. I like the camera but not if it is this buggy.
Has anybody found ways to get proper tagging to work?
Just based on what I’ve read here in the Forum, I’ve gotten the sense that AI detection/interpretation of vehicles (especially parked) has been a struggle, and so far it seems to be a real issue with this most recent product release, as noted by at least a couple of other users so far in the announcement topic:
I suspect that’s going to be the answer…that plus some app and back-end changes that improve the detection and hopefully add some features like Timelapse and Lamp Socket v2 support that other users are missing in this new model.
it’s good to see this topic at least was left open. Still waiting for somebody with WYZE in their handle to give us some feedback as to whether or not they’ve even acknowledged our observations.
