Cam Pan v3 Camera's Swivel Broken, Replacement Warranty Denied Midway in Warranty Period!

I had had a cam v2 and thought I give the cam pan v3 with its intriguing panning feature a try when it went on sale on Amazon late December 2023. The cam was shipped and arrived quickly, but I have been busy with other activities/hobbies, so I didn’t get around to set up, activate, and put the cam into use until earlier this week (late July 2024).

Sadly, a coupe of days into its use, the camera’s swivel started to make noise when panning, then broke off shortly afterward!

To add insult to injury, my replacement warranty request – which got approved while I was still on chat with Wyze Customer-Care agent – was later denied by the Wyze Ordering Fullfilment with the ridiculous excuse of “your proof of purchase and the activation date of your product do not match” (presumably because the 7-month time-lapse between the product purchase in December 2023 and activate this month July 2024).

Do you have the Support Ticket number that you can share. If so, we can ask that your case be reviewed further. If not, you’ll need to contact Customer Support again.

This seems to happen most often, surprisingly.

I would always test new items within the first 30 days, whether from Wyse or any other vendor.

Happily, my ticket got resolved satisfactorily on an appeal review as a result of the intervention of a Wyze customer-care agent following a second support chat.
