I don’t know why they would not design it that way. The pan cam 4 has 4k.
My guess was a concern over the bandwidth that both streams would take over a single wifi connection. It also came out a while before the Panv4 so maybe they just weren’t ready for 4K yet.
Honestly since they target the same bitrate with all the resolutions (higher compression on 4K, though a bit better compression algorithm), the difference really isn’t THAT big.
Also their development timelines were different:
The Wyze Duo Cam Pan and the Pan v4 projects were actually kicked off at different times, which is in part why some of the feature sets ended up being different.
